Do wall hung toilets require a concealed cistern frame?
Yes. Every wall hung toilet needs a steel frame (carrier) installed inside the wall cavity that houses the cistern and supports the ceramic bowl weight. LANGDENG supplies the frame separately or bundled with the toilet. The frame includes a button plate that mounts flush with the finished wall.
What is the wall drain distance for LANGDENG wall hung toilets?
All LANGDENG wall hung toilets use a standardized 180mm wall-drain center (measured from the bowl waste outlet to the finished wall). This matches the European Geberit and Grohe carrier standard and works with most third-party concealed-cistern frames already in market.
How much weight can a wall hung toilet support?
Our concealed-cistern frames are rated 400kg static load and 200kg dynamic load, complying with EN 997 and ISO 19880 — well above residential and standard hotel requirements. Frame anchors must go into solid masonry or studwork to deliver the full rated capacity.
Can I retrofit a wall hung toilet to an existing bathroom?
Yes, with caveats. The wall has to be opened to install the frame and route a 110mm waste pipe to the existing soil stack — that adds tile, plumbing, and wall-repair cost versus replacing a floor-standing toilet. For renovations our 590mm short-projection models suit tight spaces.
